The background of the artwork represents the waterways that cover the western district. This has been for generations, connections between different mobs and a place of connection, ceremony, and way of life. The circle symbols that are displayed in red and white within the bulldog's colours are to represent the communities that the western region that bulldogs cover reach. Each is unique but similar, showing how the different communities share similarities but also have their own unique stories. This artwork shows the story of the bulldog's outreach to the community across the region.
